Not bad at all! Remember this is our first day working the zones so eventually you will know when to slow it down or speed up your intensity.Β

Having a smart watch just enhances the experience by giving real-time feedback on which zone you're in, it's not mandatory. Without a watch, you can still follow the workout intensity and listen to your body's signals.

Firstly, kudos on completing the beginner class! It's always a good feeling to push through a challenging workout. πŸŽ‰

Regarding your weight lifting question: The primary goal is to maintain proper form to prevent injuries and maximize the benefits of the exercise. While mimicking the coach's exact movements is a good guideline, it's essential to adjust the movements to fit your body's comfort and natural range of motion. If your arms naturally rest a bit further from your body, that's okay. Focus on maintaining a controlled movement and ensuring you're not straining any muscles or joints. For your hip concerns: It's crucial to listen to your body. If squats are causing discomfort, there are alternatives! Here are a few exercises that can target similar muscle groups without putting too much strain on your hips:

Glute bridges

Wall sits

Step-ups (using a low step or bench)

Seated leg liftsKeep up the great work, and always feel free to reach out with any questions!
